About EAC Members

What’s the Difference Between Attending and Being a Member?

Many people faithfully attend, serve, and give — and we’re so grateful for you! You play a vital role in the life of our church. However, attending, serving, and giving — while essential — don’t automatically make someone a member.

Membership is a deliberate decision of commitment to Essex Alliance Church — not just to attend or participate, but to take an active role in its mission, leadership, and direction.

What It Means to Be a Member
Members:
  • Can vote on church business and leadership decisions
  • Are eligible to be nominated and serve in elected church positions
  • Formally affirm Essex Alliance as their church home by signing a membership commitment
  • Have a voice in shaping the vision and future of our church
  • Receive important communication and updates about the life and direction of our church
How to Become a Member
Becoming a member is a process that involves the following steps.
  1. Attend our Discover EAC Class to learn about our church and denomination
  2. Have been Baptized
  3. Complete a Membership Application
  4. Meet with a church leader to discuss your faith and commitment
  5. Sign a personal commitment to follow Christ and support our church family
Many people attend, give, and serve — and we’re deeply thankful for you. Becoming a member means taking one more step: choosing to officially align yourself with Essex Alliance Church — to support its mission, share in its responsibilities, and help shape its future.
