Details
Our second annual EAC Night of Christmas event is taking place on Saturday, December 20th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm! Guests are invited to enjoy a Night of Christmas featuring music performed by artists from the community, which will be held in Essex Alliance's Community Center Building, directly beside the main church building. Hot chocolate, coffee, s’mores, a warming fire, and sleigh rides will also be offered in the field across the street during the concert! Formal details here!
As with any event, none of this would be possible without our volunteers! Whether you are new to EAC or a regular attendee, we have a variety of opportunities for you to get involved!
Please “Register Now” and sign-up to volunteer! We have multiple shifts available per position, allowing volunteers to enjoy the Night of Christmas and serve. Here are the opportunities we need help with:
Indoor Volunteers:
- Coffee Brewers: What is more perfect than a chilly night with a hot beverage? Come brew coffee and make hot chocolate in bulk at the Community Center for activities outside. This team will help transport it over to the field in front of the church office, which is right across the road.
- Info Desk Host: Greet and direct guests who are arriving for the Christmas concert as needed and be available to answer any questions about the church!
- Usher: Greet, direct, and assist guests with seating before and during the concert. Assists guests with locating exits and amenities such as restrooms and assist guests with limited mobility or other special needs to and from their seats.
Outdoor Volunteers:
Please note these opportunities are outside; please dress according to the weather. Additionally, in case of bad weather, such as rain, the outdoor activities will be cancelled and volunteers will be effectively communicated with in advance.
- Set Up Team: Arrive early before the event to prepare the field for activities! You will help rope off the parking lot, set up tables, place directional signs to help guide guests, prep supplies, and more!
- Parking Guru: Welcome & direct vehicles on where to park as they arrive for Night of Christmas!
- Event Guide: Are you good at pointing people in the right direction? Come help direct guests in the field as to where the activities are and answer general questions.
- Carriage Ride Attendant: Help give guests a hand onto the horse drawn carriage and chat with those in line as they wait for their turn.
- Photobooth Attendant: Help spread the Christmas cheer at our photobooth by assisting guests with a picture in front of our rustic Vermont barn.
- Table Attendant: Restock the beverage station, s’mores supplies, and help keep the area tidy.
- Fire Attendants: Do you like the cozy feel of a fire and know how to keep it going? Come keep yourself and our guests warm by maintaining our fires through out the evening while guests roast s'mores and keep warm while enjoying their time outside.
- Tear Down Team: Arguably one of the most important teams of the day! Many hands make light work, come prepared to pick up and clean everything so that we can prepare for Sunday services the next day!
